Watch as Tracy talks about being diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 40-years-old. She shares her experience, including what it was like to tell her family about her diagnosis.
Tracy is married and has two children. At the time of her interview, she worked in the health unit at the Assembly of First Nations in Ottawa. She draws on her experiences to help others living with cancer.
I remember thinking, wow, a few weeks ago I could run an hour and now I can’t walk up the stairs in my house without sitting down twice. But I kind of had this mantra in my head, that it’s not forever, it’s just for now, and every day I kept repeating that: it’s not forever, it’s just for now.
