This bylaw amends several sections of the bylaw regulating the discharge of any matter into the City of Hamilton's sewers. It prohibits the discharge of substances such as pesticides, benzene, PCBs, and PAHs.
This bylaw restricts the application of pesticides within the City of Hamilton, except for those listed within Schedule A of the Bylaw. Schedule A(3) contains a list of allowable pesticide active ingredients, and does not list glyphosate, diazinon, and malathion. Exceptions to the prohibition are listed and include (but are not limited to) the destruction of poison ivy, infestations, and application of golf courses and other turf.
This bylaw amends Hamilton's Zoning Bylaw to include five new zones under the Open Space and Parks Classification, including: Neighbourhood Park Zone, Community Park Zone, City Wide Park Zone, Open Space Zone, and Conservation/Hazard Land Zone.
This bylaw prohibits open air burning of anything other than wood products, including petroleum products, rubber, and plastics.

It prohibits the consumption or sale of alcohol within parks without a license and also forbids the dumping of toxic waste. Part III describes the various sport and recreational activities allowed in parks - including the operation of bicycles.
This bylaw restricts the areas in which hazardous waste management facilities are permitted. Hazardous waste is defined in the Ontario Regulation 347.
This bylaw designates the zones in which buildings that emit pollutants can operate.
