This plan supports active transportation as a means to improve population health through physical activity and improved air quality.
The purpose of this bylaw is to provide for orderly, economic, beneficial, and environmentally sensitive development in the City of Whitehorse and regulate approved land uses, including, but not limited to, the size and location of drinking establishments, bicycle parking, child care centres, community and recreation centres and parks.
This bylaw provides for the prevention of fires. It prohibits the burning of oil, plastic, vinyl, fertilizers, petroleum products, and creosote.
This policy provides the framework for approving applications for beer gardens, special occasions and receptions in City owned public facilities where liquor will be served.
This bylaw provides for the supply and use of water, and the collection and discharge of sewage. The following substances are listed as restricted, and are not to be released into the sewerage system above levels indicated in the bylaw: arsenic, benzene, cadmium, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, cobalt, lead, nickel, and PCBs.
