Adolescents and young adults with cancer

Read our 2017 report on the unique challenges faced by young Canadians who have cancer

Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer face distinct challenges for which specialized and tailored cancer system responses are needed.

This report includes a subset of indicators focused on AYA cancer care, which are a first step in identifying areas in which interventions could be targeted to improve the cancer journey, experience and outcomes for AYAs.

This is the first time that national data on the entire continuum of cancer control in AYAs have been reported.
